THERE'S A RACCOON IN MY BATHROOM and other true stories from the life and times of the author was released by Eakin Press last week just in time to make the book’s first introduction at Girls Night Out, a unique Comfort celebration in early Christmas shopping. Bill and Mae Nelson will be on hand to meet and greet shoppers at this first book signing at The Frog and the Dragonfly, November 17, 2009 from 4 to 9 p.m.
“This book is dedicated to Virginia Messer, the recently deceased president and editor of Eakin Press. Virginia was instrumental in urging me to write this story and it was her warm and incomparable friendship that carried it to completion and now publication,” Durden-Nelson said. “Among other things, this book speaks of living 49+ years in Comfort and relates stories about local events and names the many people who impacted the lives of my family and especially me.”
RACCOON is in limited edition of 200 books. It is Mae's first adult book.
